NCMACC was founded in 1992 by executive director Young Sook Kim, who still leads the organization with the same mission back then as now:
We exist to ensure every young person in the San Francisco Bay Area has access to high-quality music and arts education, regardless of background or circumstance, so they can develop their talents and enrich our cultural landscape.
